This book was hard to put down. It kept me guessing throughout the text although I still have some questions after finishing it.
Quirky characters make this a fun read that'll have you smiling.
Sheila Seabrook writes sensitive books. Her prose is award-winning. I'm never disappointed in her work. Congratulations.
I kinda liked this story, it had a good story line to it. I liked all the characters except one, she was a little too messed up in the head for me.
However, the "stars" of the book are total lightweights, and the real personality comes from other characters. A fun story line left to languish and sag in the author's lack of imagination.
Several grammar errors makes me wonder where the author went to school. Eg; Gram and her no longer disagreed...Sorry, but this detracts from the story which is more than a bit contrived.
I enjoyed this charming debut of Sheila Seabrook's 'Caught Between' series. The story follows a loveably quirky cast of characters as they laugh, cry and quarrel their way toward true love. It's a lighthearted read with plenty of humour and a dash of villainy, perfect for the beach. I'm intrigued by the Caribbean setting and look forward to getting to know Serendipity Island
as the series unfolds.
